MEGAN Gale has hit out at false rumours linking her to a prominent AFL figure.
The David Jones glamazon last night broke her silence at the whispers which have been circulating on social media sites in recent weeks.
Gale said she was flabbergasted at how "I could be having an affair with someone I've actually never met".
Gale looked stunning as she stepped out at the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival opening night, Fashion Full Stop.
She said it was a pity when social media was used in a negative way.
"Things do tend to spread a bit quicker than they used to. But what can you do about it?" she said.
Singer Guy Sebastian was relieved to make it to Melbourne yesterday after a recent run of international airlines bad luck.
Sebastian opened the show with the INXS hit New Sensation.
His wife Jules flies into Australia today, leaving behind a small problem in the foyer of their LA apartment.
"We just bought a new couch and it doesn't fit through the door," he said.
Former beauty queen Rachael Finch was back in front of the camera last night and will be covering Melbourne's fashion fest for Channel 7's Sunrise.
Also hitting the red carpet was LMFF ambassador Melissa George, Alex Perry and Grant Pearce.
